HPV Vaccination for Prevention

The HPV (Human Papillomavirus) vaccine is primarily designed to protect against cervical cancer, genital warts, and other HPV-related cancers. While it is highly effective at preventing certain types of warts, its effectiveness depends on the specific HPV strains involved.

Intralesional MMR injection

Intralesional MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella) injection is an immunotherapy treatment used to help the body’s immune system fight off stubborn or recurrent warts that do not respond to conventional treatments like cryotherapy or salicylic acid.

Carbon dioxide laser

The CO₂ laser is a powerful and precise method for removing stubborn warts by vaporizing the affected tissue. It is often used when other treatments fail, especially for deep or recurrent warts.

Shave Biopsy

A shave biopsy is a minor surgical procedure used to remove warts by carefully shaving off the affected skin with a scalpel. This method is typically used for diagnosing or removing stubborn warts that do not respond to topical treatments.

Liquid nitrogen/Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy is a common and effective treatment for warts. It involves applying liquid nitrogen (-320°F / -196°C) to freeze the wart, destroying the infected tissue and allowing new skin to grow.

Topical Treatments

Topical treatments are one of the most common and effective ways to remove warts caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). These treatments work by gradually breaking down the wart tissue and stimulating the immune system to fight the virus.

Carbon dioxide laser

The CO₂ laser is a precise and effective method for removing skin tags by vaporizing the tissue with focused light energy. It is commonly used for delicate or hard-to-reach areas, such as the face, neck, and underarms.

Shave Excision Surgery

Shave excision is a minor surgical procedure that removes skin tags by carefully cutting them off with a scalpel. It is a quick, effective method that leaves minimal scarring and is commonly performed by dermatologists.

Electrocautery

Electrocautery is a common method dermatologists use to remove skin tags by burning them off using heat from an electric current. This process effectively seals blood vessels, reducing bleeding and minimizing the risk of infection.

Cryotherapy

It involves applying liquid nitrogen to freeze the skin tag, causing it to fall off over time.

Wet Wrap Therapy

Wet wrap therapy involves applying a specific regimen of damp dressings to the skin, followed by applying dry layers, providing a calming and hydrating effect. This treatment method particularly benefits individuals with eczema, atopic dermatitis, and other inflammatory skin conditions.
