Dr. Sean Leong graduated from NUS in 2012 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, where he excelled academically and received numerous awards, including the VS Rajan Gold Medal in Dermatology. He subsequently obtained a Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) and became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of UK, before completing his Dermatology residency. Prior to joining Livingstone Dermatology, Dr. Leong gained valuable experience at National University Hospital and National Skin Centre, honing his skills in treating various dermatological conditions. He has also presented at international conferences and received recognition for his teaching and research contributions. He is currently also a Visiting Consultant at the National Skin Centre.

Dr. Leong is a dedicated dermatologist who is passionate about providing compassionate and comprehensive care to his patients. His areas of interest include general dermatology, eczema, acne and surgical dermatology.

Liquid nitrogen/Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy is a common and effective treatment for warts. It involves applying liquid nitrogen (-320°F / -196°C) to freeze the wart, destroying the infected tissue and allowing new skin to grow.

Topical Treatments

Topical treatments are one of the most common and effective ways to remove warts caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). These treatments work by gradually breaking down the wart tissue and stimulating the immune system to fight the virus.

Carbon dioxide laser

The CO₂ laser is a precise and effective method for removing skin tags by vaporizing the tissue with focused light energy. It is commonly used for delicate or hard-to-reach areas, such as the face, neck, and underarms.

Shave Excision Surgery

Shave excision is a minor surgical procedure that removes skin tags by carefully cutting them off with a scalpel. It is a quick, effective method that leaves minimal scarring and is commonly performed by dermatologists.

⁠Electrocautery

Electrocautery is a common method dermatologists use to remove skin tags by burning them off using heat from an electric current. This process effectively seals blood vessels, reducing bleeding and minimizing the risk of infection.

Cryotherapy

It involves applying liquid nitrogen to freeze the skin tag, causing it to fall off over time.
